I follow you... because you've come close to my heart.
Our rare conversations have been... wonderful and liberating.
Yeah, I kind of wish there was a good medium for chat. I don’t really like audio only chat because I have a hard time with speech sometimes without seeing faces. Stickam was a wash out. Maybe we’ll find something new and awesome in 2011 :D
How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? What do you do when you are bored at work? What do you do when you are bored at home?
Hrm. Well on a weekday I’m out of the door in about 10-15 minutes. The usual routine is that the clock starts going off at 5 and I get up and hit snooze three times until it hits 5:30. By 5:45 I’m out the door because I try to lay everything out and pack everything up before I go to bed. Of course, once I get to the gym at work I shower, so if you include that it is another 20 or minutes. Now that my beard is getting long again I’ll have to start conditioning it after I get into the office and start the coffee… so I guess it takes me about 40 minutes to be really “ready”.
I wish I got bored at work any more. At my old job it happened occasionally and I nearly got myself into trouble for a couple of different things I really shouldn’t be doing at work. I’ve taken on some additional leadership responsibilities, which I think I’m going to relinquish after this year because I just can’t deal with the expectations for much longer and I don’t like to do anything half-assed.
Bored at home is another story :3 I used to eat when I was bored, but I’ve gotten pretty good about curbing that. Sometimes I’ll troll my husband, ask him things and then pretend to get offended by twisting his responses.
It is hard to say that I ever really get “bored” because I’ve always been good at finding something to do. Porn, the Internet, and entertaining my self (in a variety of ways, some overlapping) are common first and last resorts.
And, I have so many half-finished projects that I don’t have to thing long before I come up with something I can pick back up… like finishing a Shawl I’m supposed to make Mom for Christmas, or the cross-stitch project I started months ago and got 90% done with. I have a couple of dozen shirts I need to sew a button back on… but then again I don’t think any of them fit any more :[
